Computer Hardware, Software, and Internet Connectivity
The online children’s ministries certificate program is offered via the Internet utilizing progressive technology to enhance course delivery, instruction and your learning. Therefore, it is recommended that all learners entering the online program have consistent access to both hardware and software capable of supporting their learning. By ensuring that your computer setup meets the following recommendations, you will have a more successful and enjoyable learning experience. Due to the rapid changes in technology, we recommend that if you are considering just upgrading your computer system, you weigh the costs and benefits of purchasing a new system. PC Recommended Hardware
- Pentium II or compatible processor at 233 MHz or faster
- 256 MB RAM recommended
- True color (24/32 Bit) at 1024 x 768 resolution
- Windows 2000 or Windows XP
- 402MB of available disc space
- Sound card
- Speakers
- 56K modem or faster Internet access *High speed Internet access is preferrable, but not required.
- Internet Service Provider with web and email access
Macintosh Recommended Hardware
- PowerPC G3/233 MHz or faster
- 256 MB RAM recommended
- Millions of colors (24/32 Bit) at 1024 x 768 resolution
- Mac OS 9.1 and higher, or OS X 10.1 and higher
- 402MB of available disc space
- Speakers (Optional if built-in speakers are adequate for listening to audio)
- 56K modem or faster Internet access *High speed Internet access is preferrable, but not required.
